Melvin V. Hattabaugh, 63, Old Haw Creek Rd., was found dead Monday evening of an apparent heart attack.

He was born in Pratt, Kansas and moved to Bunnell nine years ago from East St. Louis, Ill. He was a retired truck driver and was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II, a. life member of the DAV Chapter 86, Bunnell, and the VFW, Cassey, ID.

Survivors include his sister, Mrs. Wanata Scott, Grammar, Ind. and a brother, Lloyd, Granite City, Ill. and several nieces and nephews.

Military graveside services were conducted Friday at Espanola Cemetery.

Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, was in charge of arrangements.
