Beth graduated from high school in 1979 from Warner Christian Academy, then earned a degree from DBCC. Her long job career covered many aspects of life, including office manager, assistant plant manager, medical assistant, pharmacy technician, and most recently, commercial bank teller. Beth was a member of First United Methodist Church of Bunnell, United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Flagler County Historical Society, and the National Wildlife Federation. She enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, scrapbooking, and was an avid Harry Potter fan.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, William W. (Billy) Higginbotham, her mother, Kathy Clegg, and her sister, Letitia Knight.
