LEXINGTON, Ky. - Carol Ann Williams Holmes, 55, of Lexington, a former resident of Samsula, died Thursday at home from injuries sustained in a house fire. 

Mrs. Holmes, a secretary, was born in Phoenix, Ariz., and lived in Samsula from 1965 to 1975 before moving to Lexington. She enjoyed antiques and crocheting.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Maurath, St. Louis, Chris Maurath, Columbia, Ky., and Shane Holmes, Nicholasville, Ky.; a daughter, Lisa Maurath, Denver; her mother, Verna Williams, Columbia; a sister, Diane Stewart, St. Louis; and three grandchildren.
