Mrs. Mable Mina Johnston, wife of Ernest W. Johnston, Sr. of Bunnell, passed away early Monday morning at the local hospital following a long illness.

Mrs. Johnston had been a resident of Bunnell for 52 years. She was born in Micanopy, Florida and had lived in Illinois prior to coming to Bunnell.  She was 69 years of age.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Bunnell; Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 93, Bunnell; and the Royal Neighbors.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest W. Johnston of Bunnell; a daughter, Mrs. H. T. Cook, Bunnell; two sons, E. W. Johnston, Jr., and Daniel C. Johnston, both of Bunnell; two step-sons, E. C. Johnston and A. B. Johnston, both of Bunnell; a step-brother, Raymond Songer, Lansing, Mich. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held from the First Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the pastor, Rev. W. L. Spicer, Jr., officiating. Interment followed in the Espanola Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Curtis Deen, M. P. Pellicer, D. R. Moore, W. W. Deen, J. B. Pellicer, and Claude Pellicer.

Honorary pallbearers were Thomas Bertha, J. F. Mercer, Robert Bertha, Zack Holland, T. K. McKnight, R. W. Deen, Jr., T. E. Holden, Charles Creal, W. C. Sullivan, D. D., Moody, C. B. Eisenbach and O. F. Alford.
