Elizabeth K. Kendall, 95, a pioneer who came to Flagler County more than 65 years ago and became famous for her mayhaw jelly, died recently in Bunnell General Hospital.

Up to a few days before her death, Mrs. Kendall lived alone and did her own housekeeping. She was honored recently on the occasion of her 95th birthday by the Haw Creek community, where she made her home.

A native of Hope, Ind., Mrs. Kendall was a member of Bunnell First United Methodist Church and the Royal Neighbors of America.

Survivors include three grandsons, Robert of Flagler Beach, and Jim and Bruce, now of Fort Stewart, Ga.; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Burial was in Espanola Cemetery.
