James L. Kendall Jr., five-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Kendall of Holly Hill was dead on arrival at the Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach Friday afternoon. An autopsy revealed the child died of a type of pneumonia.

In addition to his parents he is survived by a sister, Mindy Rae, the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Kendall of Haw Creek, the maternal grandfather, Edward Young of Holly Hill, and the paternal great grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Kendall, Haw Creek; 2 brothers, Bruce and Bobby Kendall; a great aunt; Miss Mae Kiefer, Haw Creek.

Graveside services were held at the Espanola Cemetery. Rev. Charles Anders of the First Baptist Church of Bunnell and Rev. Hal Marchman, of the Central Baptist Church of Daytona Beach officiated.

Funeral arrangements were in charge of Craig of Bunnell.
