Walton John Kinney, 69, longtime resident of St. Johns Park, passed away Friday night at Bunnell General Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Kinney was born in Wooster, Ohio, and came to St. Johns Park 46 years ago from there. He was a retired farmer. He was a veteran of WWI; a former member of the Flagler County School Board; a 30-year member of American Legion Post 115; and a member of the Flagler County Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his wife, Grace; a daughter, Mrs. Anna Spaulding; a son, Walton M. Kinney; a brother, Arden Kinney; and four grandchildren, all of St. Johns Park.

Graveside funeral services were held Monday morning at 10:30 at Espanola Cemetery. Captain Francis Albert, retired Navy Chaplain, Ormond Beach, officiated. American Legion Post 115 was in charge of the service.

Active pallbearers were J. B. Pellicer, P. A. Edmonson, Don Moore, Charles Creal, Bert Harding, and Wallace Weeks. Honorary pallbearers were O. F. Alford, John Canakaris, John Rice, Gib Anderson, Milton Pellicer and M. B. Fuller.

Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, was in charge.
