Thursday, March 5, 1981Grover (G.C.) C. Layton Jr., 62, of 402 E. Moody Blvd., Bunnell, died Saturday in Gilmer's Nursing Home in St. Augustine.
A lifelong resident of Bunnell, he had worked for ITT Rayonier Inc.
He was born in Bunnell and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army.
Survivors include a daughter, Julia Harris of Crystal River; a sister, Eula Barrs of Gainesville; a niece, Yvonne Murray of Florahome; a nephew, Layton Bennett of Lakeland; an aunt, Elsie Pollock of Lakeland, and four grandchildren.
Donations were requested for the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements were by Craig Funeral Home.
