BUNNELL – Esther C. Malphurs, 84, 300 Lambert St., former owner and operator of Malphurs Restaurant, died Wednesday at Meadowbrook Manor Nursing Home.

Mrs. Malphurs was born in Section, Ala., and moved here in 1925 from there. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bunnell.

Survivors include a daughter, Doris Hersey, Bunnell; and a grandson.

Craig, Bunnell is in charge.

 

Graveside funeral service for Esther C. Malphurs, 84, 300 E. Lambert St., Bunnell, who died Wednesday, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Espanola Cemetery, with Dr. Kenneth Gaskin officiating.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Malphurs was born in Section, Ala., and moved from there to Flagler County in 1925. She and her late husband, Fitzhugh, were former owners and operators of Malphurs’ Restaurant in Bunnell. She was a member of the Bunnell First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Gene Hersey, Bunnell; and here grandson and his wife, Jeff and Sandee Hersey, Bunnell.
