Margaret Diane Marquis 

Margaret Diane Marquis, 82 of Bunnell, FL. passed away on May 28, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 2, 1939 in Marion County, Florida to the late Donald Edwin and Margaret Ellasteen Eppert (Goff).  

In high school Margaret met her future husband and once they graduated they married. She then attended Stetson University and earned her bachelor’s degree in education. Margaret worked as an Elementary School Teacher for over 25 years at Bunnell Elementary School where she was twice named teacher of the year.  

She was a devout Christian and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bunnell where she belonged to the “Golden Agers Group”. Her memberships also included the Retired Teacher’s Association, Red Hat’s Society and Flagler County Historical Society where she was instrumental in restoring “The Little Red Schoolhouse”. She will greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.  

Donations in her memory may be made to either the Flagler Humane Society or Flagler Cats to help support the cats that she loved and rescued.  

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Marquis in 2010. Survivors include her sons, James “Josh” and his wife Tammi Marquis, Jacques Marquis; grandson, Tyler Marquis and many more relatives and her beloved church family.
