Thursday, August 27, 1964Graveside funeral services will be held at ten o'clock this morning, Espanola Cemetery, for Merland Eugene McCabe. Father Diego Conesa will officiate.
Mr. McCabe died in the Bunnell General Hospital Sunday evening shortly after being admitted. He was a member of the BPOE 2193 Elks Club Ormond Beach. He was 50 years of age.
He was born in Plymouth, Iowa and had resided here about 12 years.
He is survived by his widow, Lola, Bunnell; 2 daughters, Sandra Weigle, Jacksonville; Lana Courson, Valdosta; 1 son, Jack, Bunnell. Also surviving are his father, Burr Oak, Iowa, and 2 sisters, and one brother.
Craig Funeral Home of Bunnell is in charge of arrangements.

Thursday, September 10, 1964Graveside funeral services were held Thursday morning for Merland E. McCabe of Bunnell, who died in the local hospital Sunday night. Father Diego Conesa officiated.
Mr. McCabe was born in Plymouth, Iowa, and had lived here the past 12 years. He was a member of the Elks Club of Ormond Beach.
He is survived by his widow, Lola, of Bunnell; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Weigle, Jacksonville, and Mrs. Lana Courson, Valdosta, Ga.; one son, Jack of Bunnell; his father, Eugene of Burr Oak, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Vannatter, Canton, Minn., and Mrs. Thelma Elliott, Harmony, Minn.; one brother, Howard, Harris, Minn.; and a half brother, Stanley, of Burr Oak. Also surviving are three grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were Hiram Durrance, Bill Durrance, Earl Rice, Al Wagner, Sam Broadaway, and Claude Pellicer.
Honorary bearers were J. F. Gresham, Jimmy Kelley, John Buckles, Elmer Golien, Ed Bielejeski, and Cliff Sheffield.
