C.H. MUZYKA DIES AT HOME

C.B. Muzyka, owner and operator of the Thriftway Supermarket in Bunnell, died of an apparent heart attack Tuesday morning in his home at 511 N. Pine St,

A family spokesman said Muzyka, 49, apparently died in his sleep. He was found by his wife, Henri.

Muzyka came to Bunnell in 1976 from Charleston, S.C. where he was manager of A J.M. Fields Department Store, and purchased the Thriftway store from John A, Clegg, brother of Mrs. Muzyka.

He was a member of the Bunnell Zoning Board,

Survivors, in addition to his wife, are a son, Michael, 12, and a daughter, Kimberly, 14, both at home.

Services for C. H. Muzyka, 49, of 511 N. Pine St., Bunnell, who died May 19, were Friday at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Bunnell.

The Rev. Thomas Cody officiated and burial was in Espanola Cemetery. Bearers were Lee Blakely, T. E. Lovelace Jr., Jack Clegg, Otis Hunter, Rocky Hunter and David Hass.

Mr. Muzyka, owner of the Thriftway Supermarket in Bunnell; died of an apparent heart attack in his home.

Born in Flagler County, he returned to the area five years ago from Charleston, S.C., where he was manager of a J. F. Fields Department Store.

He was a member of Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church, served on the Bunnell Zoning Board and was leader of local Boy Scout Troop 420.

He is survived by his wife, Henri; a son, Michael and a daughter, Kimberly, both at home, and eight sisters, Pearl Blakely, Pauline Lovelace, Margaret Clegg, Ann Hunter, Zena Muzyka and Marie Muzyka, all of Bunnell, and Louise Cantrell of Miami and Betty Hawkins of Pensacola.

Remembrances were requested for Boy Scout Troop 420, in care of Ellis First National Bank of Bunnell.

Arrangements were by the Craig Funeral Home of Bunnell.
