Joseph B. (J.B.) Pellicer, 48, St. Johns Park, died Friday morning at Bunnell General Hospital.
Born in Bunnell, he was a life-long resident of Flagler County, where he was engaged in farming and ranching. He was a member of Bunnell First United Methodist Church, Flagler County Farm Bureau, Flagler County Cattlemen's Association, and VFW Post 5213. He was a veteran of WW II.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi; a daughter, Miss Theresa Pellicer; St. Johns Park; two sons, Donald Pellicer, St. Johns Park; and Mack Pellicer, Daytona Beach; his mother, Mrs. Mattie Pellicer, Bunnell; three sisters, Mrs. Bea Cockrell, Bunnell; Mrs. Peggy Salyerds and Mrs. Louise Hatcher, both of Daytona Beach; and three brothers. Milton and Hubert, Bunnell; and Herschel Pellicer, Daytona Beach.
Funeral services were Sunday afternoon at 2:00 in the Bunnell First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Earle Wilder, pastor, officiating. Interment was at Pellicer Creek Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Donald Moore, Danny Johnston, Walton Kinney, Cordell Robertson, Lloyd Robertson and Harold Ramsey. Honorary pallbearers were Sam Broadaway, Herschel King, Larry King, Harold Higginbotham, Clifford Higginbotham, Wallace Weeks and Cecil Hayes.
Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, was in charge.
NOTE: His military grave marker is located in Espanola Cemetery although the above obit says interment was at Pellicer Creek and some cemetery listings show him buried in Section c, grave 8, at Pellicer Creek Cemetery. Complier was unable to locate a maker for him at Pellicer Creek
