BUNNELL – Carl A. (Gus) Pollitz, 23, an aluminum installer for Homer Kitchens, Holly Hill, died Wednesday when he was struck by an automobile on U.S. Highway 1 near Favoretta.

Mr. Pollitz, County Road 305, St. Johns Park, was born in Volusia County, and had lived in St. Johns Park for 24 years. He was a former student of Flagler-Palm Coast High School.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel and Steven, both of Bunnell; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl C. Pollitz; two brothers, Vernon and Chris Langan; and a sister, Tess, all of Holly Hill.
