Bernard proudly served his country in the army during the Vietnam War. After completing his tour of duty in Vietnam, he worked for many years as a truck driver for Eastman Kodak in New Jersey.

A few years after he married Florence Santuoso in 1987, he and Florence moved to Florida and made the Sunshine State their home. Bernard had a kind and gentle demeanor, a dry sense of humor, a life-long love of animals, and a strong commitment to his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Florence; his nieces Michelle Cloughsey, Sue Costello, and Doreen Neville; his nephews Robert and David Andre; brother-in-law Bob Andre; and stepsons Michael and Mark Santuoso.

He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Bernadette Andre.

Friends may visit on Monday, April 3, 2017, 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM at the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. South Flagler Beach.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, 11:00AM at Espanola Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
