Funeral services for Rex Robertson of East Palatka were held from the First Methodist Church here Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock, with Rev. L. E. Watkins, pastor, and Rev. T. H. Norton, pastor of St. James Methodist Church of Palatka, officiating.

Mr. Robertson, 40, died suddenly Friday at his home in East Palatka from a heart attack. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Palatka. He was in the life insurance business at the time of his death.

Mr. Robertson as born in Ft. Valley, Ga., but came to Flagler County with his parents when a small boy, residing on the family farm in the Bimini Community. He was a graduate of Bunnell High School.

After graduating from high school, he was a member of the Florida Highway Patrol for a number of years, resigning to enter the insurance business. He was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanette and five children, Reid, Jim, Rex, Jr., Jane and Amy; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. D. Robertson, Bunnell; two sisters, Mrs. Herbert Smedley and Mrs. Robert Smedley of Jones, Ala.; two brothers, Cordell and Lloyd, both of Bunnell.

Active pallbearers were: Robert Bertha, Jack Hosford, J. H. McKnight, Jr., Walton Pellicer, Mike Steflik, and William Cobb. Honorary were: George M. Moody, Dale B. Brown, Jr., Ralph Harbert, Homer Biddle, Paul M. Burkhard, P. B. Revels and M. B. Fuller.

Arrangements were in charge of Wilson Davis and Sons of Palatka.
