Andrew C. Rodgers, 73, 1302 East Moody Boulevard, Bunnell, former county commissioner and longtime resident of Flagler County, died Sunday afternoon at Bunnell General Hospital after an extended illness.
           
Mr. Rodgers was born in Washington, Ga. and moved to Flagler County 48 years ago from there. He was the owner of and operator of Charlie’s Bar in Bunnell. He was a former county commissioner having served 12 years; Past Master of Bunnell Lodge No. 200 F&AM and was a member of the Bunnell First Baptist Church.
           
Survivors include his wife, Pauline; four daughters, Mrs. June Smith,  Morganton, N.C., Mrs. Sara Rodgers, Titusville;  Mrs. Myna Knight and Mrs. Beverly Gay, both of Flagler Beach;  four sons, Andrew C, Tallahassee;  Daniel, Talegn, Korea; and Curtis and John, both of Bunnell;  two sisters, Mrs. Frank Dallas, Lincolnton, GA; and Mrs. Charles Turner, Washington, Ga.; twelve grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
           
Graveside funeral services were at Espanola Cemetery with the Rev. Donald Foster, pastor of Bunnell First Baptist Church, assisted by Elder Burkheart and Elder Johnson of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, officiating.
           
Pallbearers were Phil Johnson, Hub Frier, Clyde Lewis, Roosevelt Jones, L. C. Whipper and Lewis Jackson.
           
Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, was in charge.
