Thursday, July 6, 1944Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon at the graveside in Espanola Cemetery for Geraldine Schwendeman, 19, who died Thursday, June 29, from complications following measles.
Rev. W. K. McClure, pastor of the local Baptist Church, conducted the ceremony, while McCabe Funeral Home of St. Augustine was in charge of burial.
Survivors include the mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Buckles; two sisters, Dorothy and Juanita Buckles, and one brother, Charles Buckles.
Pallbearers were J. F. Mercer, T. K. McKnight, D. D. Moody, Dewey Stuckey, James Croscin and A. C. Rodgers.
