IN MEMORY OF MRS. L SENGE
By her daughter, Mrs. Harry Clayton
Two years have passed today,
It was on the 17th day of May,
That our dear Mother was called away.
It was on that bright day spring morn,
Never another day to her was born.
In this world of hatred and scorn.
She nodded her last good-bye,
And closed her eyes, prepared to die.
And on the 20th of May,
With all we could do and say,
She was gently laid away.
From the place where I stay,
the cemetery is but a little way,
and there I go many a day.
Our dear Savior knows best.
He had given her His test,
and called her to rest.
She has gone on before,
and there, with open door,
She is waiting for us on that yonder shore.
