BUNNELL – Leland B. Shaw, 78, Lake Disston Road, a former acting attorney for the Flagler County Commission died Saturday at home.

Mr. Shaw was born in Aloha, Ore., and came here 35 years ago from Columbia, S.C. He was a retired Army colonel, having served in World War II and Korea. He was a member of the Bunnell Masonic Lodge 200 A&FM; the American Bar Association; the Florida Bar Association; and the retired Officers Association.

He was the first president of the Florida Bar Association and past president of the Flagler County Shriners Club.

Survivors include his widow, Millicent; three sons, Jon, Washington, D.C., Robert, Eugene, Ore., and Richard, San Diego, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

The family requests donations be made to the Flagler County Shriners’ Club for the Shriners’ crippled children’s home.
