JACKSONVILLE -- Effie M. Sheffield, 76, of Renne Drive North, who is the sister of Flagler Beach resident, James Cruz, died Wednesday at Lanier Manor Nursing Home. 

Mrs. Sheffield was born in Plant City and moved to Jacksonville several years ago. She was the owner and operator of a day care center and a member of Highlands Baptist Church. 

Survivors include a son, Amos, Jacksonville; a sister, Era Hornsby, Port Charlotte; and a brother, James Cruz, Flagler Beach.

Alderson's, Palm Coast, is in charge.
