John I. Sheffield, Sr., 69, Lake Como, former Flagler County resident, died Saturday morning at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine. Mr. Sheffield was born in Georgia and moved to Lake Como 5 years ago from Jacksonville. He resided in Flagler County for 35 years.

He was a retired Florida East Coast Railroad employee. He was a member of the Lake Como Baptist Church, member and a Past Master of Bunnell Lodge No. 200 F&AM.

Survivors include his wife, Dezzie, Lake Como; two daughters, Miss Hilda Sheffield, St Petersburg; and Mrs. Johnnie Roughton, Gainesville; three sons, Clifton, Bunnell; Aubrey, Jacksonville; and J. I., Lake Como; three sisters; two brothers; and eleven grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday afternoon at 2:00 in the Bunnell First Baptist Church. Interment was at Espanola Cemetery. Graveside service was conducted by Bunnell Lodge No. 200 F&AM.

Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, was in charge of arrangements.
