Frieda Smith, 74, 2365 S. Palmetto Ave., South Daytona, who owned and operated the Daytona Electric Company on Marion St. for many years, died Friday at Daytona Beach Geriatric Center.

Born in Espanola, Mrs. Smith had lived here all of her life.

Survivors include her widower, Walter F.; one son, Bud W. Smith, Daytona Beach; one daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Wilson, Spruce Creek; her mother, Mrs. Jessie White, Indianapolis; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.
