FLAGLER BEACH -- Frank L. Waugh, 83, of South Flagler Avenue, a retired Air Force sergeant, died Thursday at Baldomero Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home, Land O'Lakes. 

Mr. Waugh was born in Hensley, W.Va., and came here in the 1960s after being stationed in England. A World War II veteran, he received the Purple Heart and was the 1954 Air Force European skeet shooting champion. He was a pilot and motorcyclist. 

Survivors include a son, Ed, Destin; two daughters, Carol Waugh and Cheryl Whitney, both of Flagler Beach; and three grandchildren.
