James Rulison Wesley
James Rulison (Jim) Wesley passed away unexpectedly but surrounded by family on October 10, 2021.
Jim was born on June 29, 1965 in Daytona Beach, the 2nd child of Jack & Jacquie Wesley of Bunnell. Jim was a cherished member of the Flagler County Construction Industry where he worked as a crew leader for Stephenson Surveying for over 20 years.
He loved college football and was a diehard Miami Hurricanes fan. Jim spent many years in bowling leagues, pool leagues, dart leagues and spent several years building and driving dirt track race cars. He was an avid gambler who truly excelled in anything where he could win $$ and spent any time off he had from work in Biloxi. Jim was also the creator of the popular Facebook Page Southern Way of Life which has over 300,000 followers.
After the passing of his father, Jim never left his mother’s side and spent the remainder of his adult life with her. He absolutely adored his baby sister and his nieces, Brat 1 & Brat 2 as he so lovingly dubbed them.
He was known for his infectious cackle of a laugh as well as his constant joking and pranks. Jim was preceded in death by his father, John C. Wesley Jr., (Jack), and his brother John C. Wesley III. He is survived by his mother, Jacqueline (Jacquie) Wesley of Crescent City, his sister Jennifer (Punk) and her husband Brant Pellicer of Bunnell. His niece Hailey (Brat 1) Jankowski of Bunnell, and his niece Hannah (Brat 2) and her husband Dakota Ward of Bunnell. As well as countless extended family members and friends who he thought of and treated as family.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 at 6:00 PM at Bull Creek Fish Camp, 3861 West County Road 2006, Bunnell FL 32110.
