Funeral services for Mrs. Ressie Whitaker of San Mateo, former resident of Flagler County, were held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning from the Johnson-Davis Chapel in Palatka. Interment followed at the Espanola Cemetery here.

Mrs. Whitaker was the widow of the late H. R. Whitaker who resided in Flagler County for a number of years. He had served as Bunnell Police Chief and also as Sheriff of Flagler County. She had resided in San Mateo for the past 11 years. She was 68 years of age. She passed away Thursday following an illness of several weeks.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. S. J. Tilton and Mrs. Jewel Deen, both of San Mateo. Also surviving are five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
