HAMMOCK- Thomas E. Hoskins, 66, of Lantarace Drive, a retired systems technician for Lucent Technologies, Jacksonville, died April 30 at home.

Mr. Hoskins, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, was born in Baton Rouge, La., and moved here in 1954 from South Hill, Va. He also worked as a systems technician for Southern Bell, St. Augustine, and AT&T, Jacksonville. He was a member of the Johnson Memorial Chapel, where he was a deacon and song leader and a member of CWA Union #3110. Mr. Hoskins enjoyed building things, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Janice; a son, Lance, Palm Coast; a daughter, Tara, Coral Gables; four brothers, Donald, Hammock, Robert and T.J., both of Salem, Va., and Kenneth, Virginia; eight sis­ters, Peggy Britt, Drakes Branch, Va., Carol Stacy, Gar­field, Ark., Margaret Goins, To­ledo, Ohio, Cheryl Thorndike, Hammock, Barbara Flinchum,  Roanoke, Va., Marie Hubbard, High Point, N.C., Patsy Muse, Orlando, and Judy Saine, Atlanta; and two grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Johnson Memorial Church Building Fund for a sound system, 5299 N. Ocean­shore Blvd., Hammock, FL 32137.
