Trula "Trudy" Arlene Mettee' of Palm Coast, FL was born September 11, 1923 in Maquoeta, IA and passed away November 11, 2010 at the Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, FL having attained the age of 87 years.

 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Hammock Community Church, 5299 North Ocean-shore Blvd, Palm Coast, FL. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hammock Community Church with interment to follow in the Hammock Community Church Cemetery.

 

She was an avid member of the Hammock Community Church and served on the Republican Executive Committee for over 15 years.

 

She was united in marriage April 1, 1944 to her husband Hal Mettee' of The Hammock, FL with whom she spent 66 wonderful years together. Also, she is survived by sons, Hal Timothy Mettee' (wife Pam) of Davenport, IA, and Steven Mettee' (wife Sandy) of Palm Coast, FL; daughters, Pamela April Mettee' of Rock Island, IL, and Debra Claire Rexroth and husband Kenneth of Moline, IL; and her sister, Pauline Nickel of Moline, IL; six grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oceola McCard and Eva Claire McCard (Mauwer), one brother, and two sisters.

 

Funeral arrangements are under the caring direction of the Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast.
