A mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Laura Ann Price Powers Abrahams, age 94, of Palm Coast, FL, who passed away on July 28, 2023, will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. The family will be receiving guests before mass in the memorial room of the church from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Laura will be laid to rest at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens following mass. A visitation will also be held at Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations on Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Laura was born on June 15, 1929, in Duval County, Jacksonville, Florida to Earle Lee Price and Rosalie Jordan. She attended Kean College to study business, and after 20 plus years she retired from Citi Bank.
Laura married Charles Abrahams on August 6, 1969, and they moved to Palm Coast in 2004 from the Pocono Mountains. They were married 45 years before his passing on March 7, 2014. Laura was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Her hobbies included hosting family gatherings, traveling, sports fan, volunteering, collecting teapots and lladro.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Powers-Wiley; grandchildren, Alicia Powers Selby (Sylvanus Selby), Christopher Powers, Sabrina Dixon (Jerry Dixon), Daniel Peterson (Chad Griffin), Patricia Jackson; great grandchildren, Sonnett Powers, Aaron Twitty, Lauran Davis, Tyler Selby (Karl Shanks), Brandon Hill, Quadir Hollington, Raquayya Towler, Faheem Clark, Schalaya Tallerson, Micah Dixon, Stephanie Tallerson, Josh Giffin; great-great grandchildren, Isaiah Powers, Elijah Selby, Jordan Powers, Jade Powers, Charli Selby, Cossi Shanks, Sonnett M. Powers, Noah Edwards, Kassius Selby; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Honorable mentions, Gwen, Geraldine, Juanita and Debbie. Special friends, Shirley, Carol, Irma and Barbara. Alicia Selby, Sabrina Dixon and Daniel Peterson, she raised as her own.
Laura is preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Abrahams; daughter, Patricia J. Powers; granddaughter, Toni Jackson.
