Dudley DeCosta Agard, of Palm Coast, died Saturday, December 10, 2011, at the age of 86. Mr. Agard, also known as "Uncle Duds" was born July 30, 1925 in Manhattan, New York, the son of Aston Agard and Doris Aitcheson Agard.

At the age of 18, he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, where he received the Presidential Testimonial Letter and the Honorable Service Button. After his discharge he went to work for Northrop Grumman Aerospace Corporation, and later worked for Kings Park Psychiatric Center. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid fisherman.

He relocated to Palm Coast in 2004 to enjoy retirement and to be close to his family, Debra and Nicole Rhodes. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon and her children; many loving cousins, and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marion Agard.

Family and friends will be Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home in Flagler Beach, where a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at the Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.
