Pearline Gloria Allen born on August 3rd, 1937 to Percivan and Emily Grant was granted her angel wings on September 29, 2021.
Her final day was spent surrounded by her loving family in prayer. Pearline’s life seems too short to many, but those who were touched by her understand that the quality of her existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.
Pearline was born and raised in Clarendon Jamaica. She and her husband relocated their family to the United States in 1969 where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant until her retirement in 1999. Upon retirement Pearline and her husband moved to Palm Coast, Florida. She was a dutiful member of the First Baptist Church of Palm Coast until her health and circumstances prevented her from regular attendance. Pearline enjoyed taking care of people, spending time with family and friends and she loved working in her garden.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Herbert B. Allen, whom she married April 20, 1960.
Loved by her family and friends; Pearline leaves to cherish her life; daughters, Monica Davis and Janet Bolden, sons, Bentley Allen and Clinton Allen, sons-in-law, Floyd Davis and Robert Bolden, daughters-in-law, Melissa Allen and Sherrill Allen. Ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews; her church and many of her dear friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Keith Allen, her sister Lynette C. Bowen and her brother Archibald Lattie.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Palm Coast, 6050 Palm Coast Parkway NW, where services will be held at 11:00 AM. Entombment will take place at 2:00 PM at Flagler Memorial Gardens.
