Michele Anthony Alleva

Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Michele Anthony Alleva, 84, Palm Coast, who died Sat., May 12, 2007, at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice Care in Palm Coast, will be 3 p.m. Thurs., May 17, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Pkwy., Palm Coast. Burial will follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S., Flagler Beach.

Mr. Alleva was born July 7, 1922, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Dominic and Theresa. He moved here in 1992 from Long Island, N.Y. He retired as a marine pilot for the New York City Fire Department.

He served in the Navy during World War II, earning the American Theater Medal, Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal Five Stars and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon one star.

A member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Palm Coast VFW, Knights of Columbus, Palm Coast Gun Club, and the New York Fire Department Retirees, he enjoyed hunting, gun collecting, gardening and model ship building.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Dottie; son, Michael Alleva, and his wife, Karen, Long Island; sister, Theresa Mahoney, Queens, N.Y.; and four grandchildren, Daniel, Brian, Christopher and Anthony.
