Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Andrew Anthony Appio, 66, of Ormond Beach, who passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, Palm Coast, will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. at the Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, 915 N. Central Ave, Flagler Beach.
His family will receive friends on Friday, November 21, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. S., Flagler Beach.
Andrew was born on April 15, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Dominick and Louise (Ditaranto) Appio, He worked as a Service Technician for the New York Telephone Company, AT&T, and for Lucent Technologies, from where he retired in 1994.
Andrew moved to this area in 1993, coming from Long Island, NY. He was a member of the Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, he enjoyed photography, observing nature, drawing, and he was very artistic.
Andrew is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Carolyn Appio of Ormond Beach.
Additional survivors include his daughter, Denise Middleton and her husband, Scott of Palm Coast, FL; his son, Dominick Appio and his wife, Tracy of Port Orange, FL; his brother, Benjamin Appio and his wife, Julie of Little Silver, NJ; his five grandchildren, Ashley and Katie Appio and Jessica, Alyssa, and Skylar Middleton; his sister-in-law, Barbara Bianchina of Long Island, NY; his brother-in-law, Robert D'Oca and his wife, Karen of Staten Island, NY; his father-in-law, Frank D'Oca and his companion, Trudy of Port Orange, FL; and his many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Andrew to the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, 150 Memorial Medical Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32164.
