Pablo R. Areza, 88, passed peacefully on June 1, 2017 with his loving wife by his side. He was a devoted husband, loving dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, excellent provider, retired anesthesiologist, faithful family man, avid fisherman and lover of nature and life. He was born on January 26,1929 in Manila, Philippines, son of Gonzalo and Joaquina, and Charing.

Pablo graduated from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Medical School. He did his fellowship in Hartford, Connecticut and residency in Cook County Hospital, Chicago, Ill. where he met the love of his life Erlinda Estrella.

He practiced OB-GYN in Canada and later became an anesthesiologist and worked in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He retired in Palm Coast and could be found many days fishing on the Flagler Pier, prior to moving to Orlando to be closer to family. He was a member of Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Palm Coast,FL.

Dr. Areza is survived by his wife Erlinda of 58 years, Four children: Vivian McNair (David) of Orlando, Debbie Miller (Matthew Ross) of Orlando, Judson Areza (Jin) of Seattle, WA. and a very special daughter, Grace Areza, along with Eight grandchildren: Leah, David, Alyssa, Katie, Ryan, Julie, Julci and Jayla, TWO Great-grandchildren: Brayden and Taylor Marie, and a sister, Chona Arriola and two nieces and one nephew from Pennsylvania.

Viewing and service to celebrate the life of Pablo Areza will be at Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Palm Coast, on Monday, June 5th at 11:00 am.
