A funeral service for Duarte Arruda will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 2:00PM at the chapel of Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home. Friends may visit on Wednesday from 1:00PM until time service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.
He passed away on Monday, December 6, 2010 at this home. Duart was born on April 13, 1925 in Acures, Portugal to the late John and Maria Arruda (du Angels). Seven years ago he moved to Palm Coast area from New Bedford, Mass. He was a member of the Portuguese Speaking 7th Day Adventist Church. Duarte enjoyed gardening and cattle herding.
Survivors include his daughters, Lucy Costa of Palm Coast; Trezinha Luz of New Bedford, Mass., Gorette Farias of New Bedford, Mass., Germana Haskins of New Bedford, Mass; son, Duart Arruda of Fairhaven, Ma; 2 sisters and 1 brother; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Services are in the care and trust of Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
