George J. Aurora of Palm Coast has gone to be with our Lord at the age 86 years young. He died peacefully with his family by his side on Nov. 4, 2012.
George was born in Hoboken, NJ Oct. 22, 1926 and worked for Maxwell House Coffee Company. He also was a volunteer firefighter in Madison Park, NJ. He was well known for his musical talents, playing guitar and singing for many weddings and dances. He was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.
Since moving to Florida he also entertained in some of the area nursing homes and was a member of the folk group at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
George is survived by his wife of 64 years Sue J. Aurora, his daughter Lorraine and husband Mike Gallagher, son Joseph and wife Linda, his brother Anthony Aurora, 4 Grandsons and 8 Great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 9, 2012, 11:00AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Entombment to follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit on Thursday from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM at the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
