Marylou Baiata 

Marylou Baiata, 63, passed away at her home on Friday, July 25, 2014 after a brief battle with cancer. Marylou will be remembered for her passion, strength and love of nature. She was an avid bird enthusiast, volunteered at Whispering Meadows horse farm, enjoyed horseback riding, traveling, gardening and lived life to its fullest.  

Marylou and her late husband, Rich Baiata, moved from Long Island, New York to Flagler Beach in the early 1970s. Both worked with their hands to create and build the life they had dreamed: Marylou was the founder and owner of Nature Scapes in Bunnell, FL and Rich was the owner of Red Carpet Construction.  

Of all her accomplishments, Marylou was most proud of her two successful sons, Nicholas and Christopher. Dr. Nicholas is a chiropractor in Atlantic Beach, FL. Christopher, an environmental horticulturist, continues Marylou's legacy as owner and operator of Nature Scapes.  

Marylou is preceded in death by her husband, Mario "Rich" Baiata (2006).  

Survivors include her sons, Nick (Caitlin) Baiata of Neptune Beach, Christopher (Pasang) Baiata of Flagler Beach; and her six brothers and sisters: Vincent Sicignano (Terri), Chris Sicignano (Toni), Allan Sicignano, Joan Wrench (Craig), Lois Rowman, Renee Sicignano (Cliff), and her grandchildren Christopher Tenzin Baiata and Mariana Baiata and her many loving nieces and nephews. 

Donations for the establishment of a bird sanctuary in honor of Marylou can be made to Nature Scapes, 313 Old Brick Rd, Bunnell, FL 32110-2059. The Baiata Bird Sanctuary will be established at Nature Scapes to provide a loving home for birds.
