Funeral services for Walter E. Bailey, 87, of Palm Coast will be held Monday, September 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S., Flagler Beach with Rev. Harry Gilman, officiating. Interment with military honors will be held immediately following in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Mr. Bailey, a resident of Palm Coast since 1986 coming from Cherry Hill, NJ passed away on September 2, 2013 in Florida Hospital Flagler. He was born in Boston, MA on October 10, 1925, a son of the late Joseph and Isabel Wright Bailey.

Mr. Bailey was a retired supervisor for the F.A.A. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army when he obtained his initial training and certification in aviation. He was a member of the VFW Post 8696 in Palm Coast and the Sons of the American Revolution. He always loved to fly and enjoyed working with computers.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Gloria; two daughters, Wendy Bancora and husband George of Garfield, NJ, and Brett Bailey of New Jersey; cousins, Alice and Kenneth Bury of Amherst, NH; Francis and Edward Vesser of The Villages, FL; a nephew James W. Klimas and his wife Gilda of Cape Cod, MA; and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family suggests contributions to the Sons of the American Revolution.
