Raymond {Renato} Balducci, age 88, of Lake City, formerly of Flagler Beach, died Monday, May 19, 2014 at Plantation Oaks of High Springs Florida. He was born October 15, 1925 in New Haven, Connecticut, the son of the late Vincenzo and Norina Gili-Balducci.

He is lovingly survived and cherished by his beloved wife, Louise Balducci, a son, Sean Balducci, his daughters, Linda Johnston {Brad} of Flower Mound, Texas, Sharron Rutherford {Kevin} of Lake City, Florida, Theresa Aherns {Jared} of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and Deborah Dattilo of Flower Mound, Texas, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is survived by his adoring goddaughter, Mary Ann Townley.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased in life by his daughter, Mary Ellen Walters.

Mr. Balducci was a member of the United Steelworkers of America and worked for said organization for more than 30 years. He enjoyed gathering with friends at the Marchegian Society Club of New Haven, CT, Italian cooking, and word-search puzzles, but his greatest joy was to spend time with his family. He was a kind and gentle person who was loved by many people and will be greatly missed.

Arrangements are in the care and trust of the Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home in Flagler Beach. Friends and relatives may visit with family on May 24, 2014 at the Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm with Mass to be celebrated at the Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church in Flagler Beach at 1:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow at the Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.
