Shirley J. Barber, 83, of Palm Coast, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Halifax Hospice Ormond Beach Care Center. 

Shirley was born in Lapeer, Michigan on February 26, 1933 to the late Lester E. Bossardet and Wilma M. Belcher. She met and married Herbert H. Barber and was a wonderful homemaker who raised 4 children. 

Several years after her husband’s passing she went to live at Riviera Assisted Living in Holy Hill, FL. and was a social butterfly. Shirley became the resident comedian making others laugh and everyone loved being around her.  She will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who LOVED Elvis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Barber in 1987.

Survivors include her children, Tammy Youmans, Aimee Hausy, Kimbra Chardonnay and Mark Barber; sisters, Marilyn Rolph and Pat Chadderton; brother, Bob Bossardet; grandchildren, Angeline Barber, Jordan Hausy, Gabriel Hausy, Chad Youmans, Brad Youmans, Karrie Lobeck, Mark Barber, Christopher Barber and Justin Werner and many great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, 10:00AM at Craig Memorial Park.
