THE FLAGLER TRIBUNE
Bunnell, Florida
Thursday, December 1, 1932

Judge W. Lee Bartlett, 82, died Sunday morning in a Glendale hospital in Palatka after a short illness. A native of Warren County, Indiana, Judge Bartlett lived in Flagler County for the past 20 years, coming here from his home state for his health, after recovery of which he became active in politics and was appointed county judge when Flagler County was created in 1917, holding the judgeship until 1928.

Judge Bartlett was a graduate in law and was a judge for 18 years in his home state before coming to Florida. He was, when younger, very active in church work, having been a Sunday school teacher at the Methodist church here several years ago.

The body was prepared for burial by the Carl Davis undertaking establishment of Palatka, and the body was interred in Hope Cemetery, the funeral services being in charge of Rev. J. M. DeVette, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bunnell.

The Judge is survived by his widow and one son, Ralph Bartlett, whose residence is Madison, Wisconsin, he coming to Bunnell for the funeral.
