FEBRUARY 5, 1943 – JUNE 25, 2018



It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our husband and father, Robert J. Beck. He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran who was awarded 3 Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star. He fought a long, hard battle with cancers caused by Agent Orange. He spent a major part of his life living in the Midwest before finally settling in Florida to be close to his immediate family. Bob was an avid volunteer who donated his time to many educational and veteran’s organizations. He had a personality that was larger than life, and he never met a stranger.

Bob was preceded in death by his son, John Robert Beck, and his parents, Loretta and John Beck.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary, daughters Robin (Kenny) Rucker, Colleen (Ken) Fonte, and son Bob (Darla) Beck as well as 6 grandchildren Alex and Samantha Fonte, Joe and Matthew Rucker, and Ethan and Noah Beck. He is also survived by his brother, Richard (Elaine) Beck, his sisters Donna (Jim) Baker, Barbara Beck and Sandy Beck, his sister-in-law Linda McGeorge, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be, Monday July 9th at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home at 511 Old King’s Road at 11:00 am with calling hours from 10:00-11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the “Imagine School Garden” fund at 775 Town Center Blvd., Palm Coast, Florida 32164. Donations can also be made to the American Legion Post 115, PO Box 1731, Bunnell, Florida 32110 or any other Veteran’s service organization.
