Alvin L. Bellefontaine

Bellefontaine, age 83, of Ormond Beach died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Clare Bridge following an extended illness. He was born to his parents, Theodore J and Jean Vaughan Bellefontaine on March 1, 1927 in Boston, M A.

As a boy he lived in Grand Desert, Nova Scotia, Canada and he attended Braintree High School in Braintree MA and Northeastern University in Boston, MA and was Roman Catholic. He married Marie-Reine LeBlanc on July 16, 1949 in Methuen, MA and he was employed for 32 years as a Data Processing Manager with Ocean Spray Cranberries Inc. He was a long-time resident of Marshfield MA and had lived in Palm Coast for 20 years.

Mr. Bellefontaine is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marie Bellefontaine of Ormond Beach; a son, Marc D. Bellefontaine of St. Augustine, Fl.; daughters and sons-in-law, Therese A. and Charles L. Bennett, Pt. Orange, Fl., Donna Bellefontaine and Kenneth L Daingerfield of Orange Park, Fl. Mary C. and John Smith of Mashpee, MA.; brother, Roy Bellefontaine of Palm Coast; granddaughter, and her husband, April M. Horner-Hootman and Brian W. of Orange Park; granddaughter, Andrea M. Bennett of Pt. Orange; granddaughter, Lynn Marie Daingerfield of Salina, Kansas; grandson, Stephen A. Bennett of Gainesville; great granddaughter, September H. Hootman of Orange Park.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway in Palm Coast. Calling hours will be from 11:00 A.M. until time for Mass in the church memorial room. Burial will follow at a later date at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the care and trust of Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach.
