PALM COAST -- Nicholas G. Benenati, 75, of Wood Ash Lane, the retired owner of Community Lumber Co., Morristown, N.J., died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital-Flagler, Bunnell. 

Born in Cliffside Park, N.J., Mr. Benenati, an Army veteran of World War II, moved here in 1991 from Ridgefield Park, N.J. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and was a past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8696. He enjoyed sports. 

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Cynthia; three sons, Nicholas Jr., South Amboy, N.J., Edward, South Plainfield, N.J., and Clifford, Boynton Beach; a sister, Joan McNiece, Mount Arlington, N.J.; and four grandchildren.
