Sherry H. Benes, 70, of Farmbrook Lane, former owner of Sunbelt Tile Fashions, Ormond Beach, died Monday at a local care facility. 

Mrs. Benes was born in Norfolk, Va., and came here 19 years ago from Essex Falls, N.J. She was a member of the National Association of Women in Construction and enjoyed playing bridge. She was also a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. 

Survivors include her husband, Bob; a son, Richard H., San Diego; a daughter, Terry Benes, New York City; a sister, Ina Claire Jurney, West Palm Beach; and a granddaughter.
