Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Mary K. Bishop,  73,  Flagler  Beach,  will  be  held  on Friday,  September  12,  2008.,  at  11  a.m.  at  Santa  Maria  del  Mar  Catholic  Church,  915 N.  Central Ave., Flagler Beach. She  passed  away  Saturday,  September  6,  2008,  at  Florida Hospital  Flagler.

Mrs.  Bishop  was  born  on  July  11,  1935,  in  Ottumwa,  Iowa,  to  the  late  Charles  and Veroncia  Maxwell  (Doud).  She  attended  Iowa  State  University  and  served  as  a  delegate for  the  State  of  Florida  during  the  1976  Republican  Convention.

In  2002  she  and  her  husband  moved  to  the  Flagler  Beach  area  from  Weston,  Fla.  Mrs. Bishop  was  a  member  of  Santa  Maria  del  Mar  Catholic  Church.  She  enjoyed  cross-stitching,  reading,  solving  cross-word  puzzles  and  keeping  up  with  current  politics.  Her  love in  life  was  spending  time  with  her  family,  especially  her  grandchildren.

She  is  survived  by  her  loving  husband  of  55  years,  Jack.  Additional  survivors  include  her sons,  John  Bishop,  Firestone,  Col.;  Brian  and  his  wife,  Annette  Bishop,  Ft.  Lauderdale, Fla.;  daughters,  Susan  and  her  husband,  Royce  Rundlett,  Miami,  Fla.,  and  Ann  and  her husband,  Lee  Katsikos,  Flagler  Beach;  brother,  Chuck  Maxwell,  Aiken,  S.C;  sister,  Betty Grask,  Des  Moines,  Iowa;  ten  grandchildren;  three  great-grandchildren;  and  four  great-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements  are  in  the  care  and  trust  of  Craig-Flagler  Palms  Funeral  Home.
