James C. Blankenship of Flagler Beach died Wednesday morning in the local hospital.

Mr. Blankenship was a native of Ashland, Ky., but had lived in Flagler Beach for a number of years. He was 83 years of age and was a retired carpenter. He was a veteran of the Spanish American War.

Mr. Blankenship is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Blankenship of Flagler Beach, and two brothers, Otis of Ashland, Ky., and Charlie of California.

Funeral services will be held Friday from the Community Memorial Church in Flagler Beach with Rev. R. W. Dickert officiating. Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery.

The body will rest at the Craig Chapel from Thursday evening until 12 o'clock Friday and at the church from 1 o'clock to the funeral hour.
