Obituary of Blanche Gertrude Borish

Blanche Gertrude Borish, 101 of Palm Coast, Florida (formerly of Stoney Point, New York) passed away on May 18, 2022, peacefully at her home. She has been a resident over 20 years.

She and her husband Harold, deceased owned and operated a lady’s shop in Haverstraw, New York and a millinery shop in Nyack, New York. After retirement they took a seven-month freighter trip to Hong Kong and the Far East. After returning home to Stony Point, New York they became real estate agents and worked for I.T.T. Palm Coast, selling land here from the Elmsford, New York office for three years.

In 1970 they retired to Palm Coast. They were both interested in travel, music, shows, golf, reading and dancing. Blanche was an active member of Temple Beth Shalom, Sisterhood, Charter Member and President of Hadassah, Israel, Auxiliary members of V.F.W. Post 8696, and Jewish War Veterans Post Auxiliary. Member of the New York Club, Belle Terre Swim & Racquet Club and Charter Member of the Nifty-Niner’s Golf Club. Contributions can be made to Temple Beth Shalom.

A graveside service for Blanche will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Flagler Memorial Gardens, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136.

Blanche will be laid to rest in Flagler Memorial Gardens, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136; Garden of Peace.
