Frank A. Botelho, a former resident of Jamestown, RI and a long time resident of Palm Coast, FL. passed away peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2023 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House.
Frank was born on December 6, 1942 in Newport, RI to the late Frank A. Botelho Jr. and Margaret (Silvia) Botelho. He was a 1960 graduate of De La Salle Academy and a 1965 graduate of the University of Rhode Island.
Frank served on active duty in the late 60’s with the United States Marine Corps and Camp Lejeune North Carolina and continued with reserve duty in the early 70’s. His career included many management positions in Florida with large construction and motor freight corporations.
He was owner of Aquidneck Liquors in Middletown from 1985 to 2008 and Secretary for the RI Liquor Store Association. In retired life he was Adjutant of the Marine Corps League Detachment in Palm Coast, FL and member of the Palm Coast Elks. He also enjoyed extensive traveling to Las Vegas, Portugal and Italy as well as golfing with many friends.
Frank is survived by his wife Pamela (DeAscentis) Botelho of 58 years and was predeceased by his son Craig Botelho of Winter Springs, Fl. He is survived by sister-in-law Judith Botting of Colorado Springs, CO, a niece Marissa Bryan and husband Christian, grand nephew Austin, grand niece Charlotte all of Cincinnati, Ohio and a nephew Adam Botting and wife Alejandra of Littleton, Colorado. A memorial gathering for Frank will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM. Frank will be laid to rest in Flagler Memorial Gardens; Mausoleum of Angels II.
