Interment will follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit on Sunday, February 13, 4:00-6:00PM at the chapel of Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, Flagler Beach.

Dimitrios passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Kindred Hospital North Florida in Green Cove Springs. He was born on April 1, 1926, in Greece to the late Constantinos and Maria Bouzas (Diopoulou). As a young man he proudly fought in the Greek Civil War.

He moved to the United States in 1951 with a young wife and infant daughter and lived the "American Dream." They built a life and family in New York until 1982 when they moved back to Greece and began living part time between Greece and New York. In 1994, he and his wife moved to Florida and enjoyed traveling back and forth to Greece every year to visit family and friends. He loved watching soccer, westerns and game shows. His devotion to music ranged from classical, opera to all the Greek songs. His favorite hobby was getting up at the crack of dawn solving crossword puzzles in Greek. Dimitrios was a true family man, honorable and religious and attended the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.

Dimitrios is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eleni ("Nitsa"); his daughter, Mary and her husband, John Manis of New York; his son, Dean and his wife, Jodi Bouzas of Palm Coast; and his daughter, Anna Bouzas of Palm Coast. Dimitrios adored his seven grandchildren, John Jr., Anna, Irene Eleni, James, Natasha, Eleni Samantha, and Victoria; and his six great-grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed; his memory will live on through his loving family and friends.
Donations in his memory may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
